The customized design process of cosmetic bottles is as follows:

  1. Demand communication and analysis

Communicate with customers

Understand the customer’s brand positioning, such as high-end luxury brands, mass affordable brands or niche personality brands. This will affect the overall style of the bottle design, such as high-end brands may be more inclined to exquisite, unique and textured design, will be more detailed control of the details.

2 Conceptual design

  1. Creative ideas
  • Designers carry out creative ideas according to demand analysis, and design the appearance and packaging of bottles according to customers’ needs, including color matching (such as fresh and elegant colors for natural skin care products, gorgeous colors for makeup products), surface texture (smooth, matte, carved patterns, etc.).
  1. Select the solution optimization
  • The customer selects one or more directions from the sketch scheme to determine the size and shape of the bottle body, bottle neck, bottle cap and other parts.
  • Refine the custom design, such as determining the specific content of the printed pattern, typesetting, labeling shape and position, the exact range of carved or frosted areas, etc.

3 material and process selection

  1. Material selection
  • Select the appropriate glass material according to the commercial application of the customer’s product, considering the transparency, hardness, chemical stability and other properties of the glass. For example, for acid skin care bottles that require good chemical stability, choose acid-resistant glass materials.
  1. Process selection
  • Determine the forming process of the bottle, such as blowing, pressing, etc. The blowing process is suitable for making bottles with complex shapes and thin walls, while the pressing process is more suitable for making bottles with regular shapes and thicker walls.

Select different deep processing processes, such as screen printing, heat transfer printing, laser engraving, etc. Screen printing is suitable for large-area, colorful pattern printing; Laser engraving can produce fine, lasting engraving patterns.

4 Sample production and testing

  1. Sample production
  • Make samples according to the design scheme and materials and processes.

2.Functional testing

  • Perform functional tests on samples, such as the sealing performance of bottle caps, to ensure that cosmetics do not leak during storage and transportation; For bottles with pump heads or droppers, test for uniformity and accuracy of discharge.
  • Conduct stability tests, including the bottle’s ability to withstand pressure, drop resistance, etc., to ensure that the bottle will not be damaged under normal use and transport conditions.

3.Appearance test

  • Check the appearance of the sample, such as whether the surface decoration is clear, whether the color is accurate, whether the bottle has defects, etc.

5 Revision and finalization

  1. Modify the value based on the test result
  • If problems are found in the test process, such as poor sealing performance, appearance defects, etc., actively communicate and modify. Modifications may involve bottle shape adjustments, material changes, or process changes.
  1. Finalize the draft
  • When the sample has been tested and the customer is satisfied, the final design solution is determined, including all design details, material specifications and process requirements, etc., in preparation for mass production.
